THE FARMERS BANK OF WILLARDS
Community Reinvestment Act Statement
Delineation of Our Local Community
The Farmers Bank of Willards generally serves customers throughout Wicomico, Worcester & Sussex counties in Maryland and Delaware. Although we may extend credit from time to time to borrowers outside this area, it is our priority to serve the credit needs of those within our community.
Type of Credit We Extend Within Our Local Community
The bank offers various loan products to serve both personal and business credit needs. We extend credit for real estate loans for 1-4 family residential dwellings, residential mortgage loans for dwellings with 5 units or more, small business loans, farm loans, commercial installment, demand and variable loans, consumer installment type loans for vehicles, unsecured and variable rate loans. As a locally owned and managed institution, we pride ourselves on serving our community’s farms and small businesses, as well as its low and moderate income families. We encourage minority and women businesses, farm owners and low and moderate income families to seek fulfillment of their credit needs through The Farmers Bank of Willards. We pledge to accept and evaluate applications from all sources and areas of our community and to extend credit based upon our evaluation, within the guidelines of safe and sound banking practices.
Our Efforts and Record of Meeting Our Community’s Credit Needs
On a regular basis, the directors, officers, and employees of The Farmers Bank of Willards attend community events and pursue comments from the members of our community regarding the credit services we offer. Periodically, the Bank surveys its existing customers and solicits concerns and comments regarding the services we offer. Information regarding the community organizations the Bank is represented in, and the results of our inquiries and surveys of the community is available upon request. At all times, we encourage members of our community to speak personally with a director, officer, or employee of the Bank regarding our credit services.
Currently, the Bank extends credit to our community’s volunteer fire departments, various non-profit organizations, fraternal organizations and churches. As a result of our size, the Bank does not participate in government guaranteed loans or subsidized loan arrangements, although we will assist you, to the extent possible, in securing this type of credit from our correspondent institutions, where it may be available.
